Access Bars: The Science of Letting Go

Access Bars is a gentle, hands-on technique that works through light touch on specific points across the scalp. These points correspond with regions of the brain involved in emotion regulation, sensory processing, and cognitive organization. When gently stimulated, they promote neurological relaxation and encourage the brain to shift from high-frequency beta activity (associated with stress and overthinking) into slower alpha and theta states, which support calm focus and restorative rest.

From a physiological standpoint, this quieting of neural activity engages the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing heart rate, lowering muscle tension, and creating measurable changes in brainwave coherence. Many individuals experience improved sleep quality, reduced mental fatigue, and greater emotional steadiness following a session.

    Look for the “Download Client Intake Form” button at the bottom left of this section and click it.

  2. Open the Form
    When the file opens, you can type directly into it (if your device allows) or print it out to fill in by hand.

  3. Fill Out Every Question
    Please answer all sections clearly and completely.

    • The form is a fillable PDF, so you can type directly into it using your computer, phone, or tablet.

    • On a computer: Open the file and click in each box to type your answers. Then save the file before sending.

    • On a phone or tablet: Tap the fields to type. If it doesn’t let you type, take a clear photo of your handwritten answers.

    • Do not handwrite in pencil or marker. Use typed text or black or blue ink if writing by hand.

    • Make sure your name and date are filled out before saving or scanning.
      Incomplete forms delay check-in and reduce your available session time.

  4. Send It Back
    Email your completed form to [email protected] at least 24 hours before your session.
    (Attach it to the email and hit send — that’s it.)

  5. If You Forget
    You’ll need to fill it out when you arrive, and that time will come out of your booked session.
    Missed form time cannot be added or rescheduled.

BOOKING TIME POLICY

Your scheduled session begins at the exact time booked. If you arrive late, your session will still end at the originally scheduled time. Please plan accordingly. If you tend to run late, we kindly ask that you give yourself extra travel time to ensure a full session experience.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions. Please be sure of your availability before scheduling your session.

INTAKE FORM REQUIREMENT

Your completed client intake form must be submitted via email no later than 24 hours before your scheduled session. If your intake form is not submitted by this time, you will be required to fill it out during your session, which will reduce the time available for your service.
